The theory behind these requests, was that the students don't get much out of the experience at their parent's workplace and that their school day is more educational.On this day, however, the FAA Great Lakes Region dared to defy those claims! Approximately one hundred and twenty students had an interactive experience which, for three hours, immersed them into the world of aviation.

Women and Minorities Reach New Heights in Aviation
The Young Eagles program introduces children, ages 7-17, to aviation with up-close overviews of aircrafts and simulators. Tammera Holmes, president and CEO of AeroStar Corporation, shared her success story as a former participant in the One Young Eagles program.
